Drama club, sponsored by Ms. Neff, is a great opportunity to make new friends and try new things.
Every Wednesday, Ms. Neff, along with several other Mann staff members work with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to sharpen their acting skills in hopes of being able to have a performance at some point during the year.
Incorporating singing and dancing would also enable the drama club to have more production choices.
“We anticipate to do musical theater,” Ms. Neff said, “We would definitely be doing dancing, singing and acting.”
Not only does Drama Club require students to hone their acting abilities, but it is also a creative outlet which lets students and staff show off their ability to build sets and make costumes.
“We will be making costumes and sets eventually,” Ms. Neff said.
Drama Club is also a way to give students the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming spring Talent Show.
“I am hoping students will perform at the talent show.” Ms. Neff said. Building confidence on stage should increase the amount of Talent Show participants.
